Joseph Albert Shugh, age 80, a resident of Pasadena for 25 years, died of cancer on August 26, 2012 at the Tate Hospice House.
He was born on February 26, 1932, in Baltimore, to the late Anna and Norman Shugh. He attended Mount Saint Joseph High School, graduating in 1950, before going to work for Eastern Airlines. There he worked for over 30 years in various supervisory positions within the Operations department. A member of St. Jane Frances Church for over 50 years, he was an avid reader of books, newspapers, and magazines.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years: Sue Carol Shugh; and his two brothers James and Norman Shugh.
He is survived by his son Stephen J. Shugh, of Rixeyville, VA; two daughters: Catherine S. Williams, of Glen Burnie, and Barbara J. Fadeley, of Odenton; six grandchildren: Nicole Williams, Chelsea, Lauren, Megan, Ryan, and Joshua Fadeley; and his sister Rose Macknew.
