Joseph A. Torre Jr. slipped away peacefully at home in the loving arms of his daughter into the arms of angels on January 8, 2015. Joseph was born in Caltanissetta, Sicily, Italy on March 31, 1916 to Angelina and Joseph Torre Sr.
He was predeceased by his parents; his dear wife of 72 years, Mary; grandson, Michael W. Torre; and brother, Charles A. Torre.
Joseph is survived by his sons, Gerald (Ellen) of Delaware, Paul (Lynn) of Orange Park, FL, Glenn (Linda) of Bunell, FL, Joseph III (Susie) of Maryland; daughter, Angela Robinson of Orange Park; grandchildren, Jody Withrow, Margaret Sharp, Mary Gambrell, Paula Hayden, Paul Torre Jr., Randi Torre, Glenn Torre, Jr., Joseph Torre IV, Heather Sheppard, Carroll (Rob) Robinson II, Ashley Moore, Mark Torre, Darbony Mugford, Julie Maddux, Brianne Lara and Leanne Mannino; many great grandchildren; his loving sisters, Mary Reynolds, Madeline Montalbano, Ellen Dean, Sally Harker and Jean Osborne; and other loving relatives.
Joseph was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking, cooking and dancing.
