Joseph A. Sullivan, 68, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Monday, July 2, 2007, at Greene County General Hospital. Joe was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 30, 1938, to Patrick and Claira (Hornburger) Sullivan. On March 29, 1964, he married Kay A. Ax, who survives.

Joe was veteran of the US Air Force. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington, IN, in 1966, and was a practicing Attorney-At-Law for 40 years. He was elected Greene County Prosecutor, serving from 1983-1986 and served numerous times as Judge Pro Tem in both the Greene Circuit and Superior Courts. Joe was a life member of the American Legion Post #22 and a charter member of the VFW Post #7118, a member of the Bloomfield IOOF Lodge #457, BPO Elks #866 of Linton and Right to Life.

Survivors include his wife, Kay A. (Ax) Sullivan, one daughter, Erika A. Sullivan of Linton, one son, Jonathan C. (Dianne) Sullivan of Charleston, SC, two sisters: Mary Rita Riley and Patricia (Ted) Wells both of Indianapolis. Mother-in-law, Kathryn M. Ax of Linton and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Erik J. Sullivan.
