Joseph A. “Joe” Denovellis, Jr., age 64 of Salisbury, MA formerly of Manomet(White Horse Beach) and Malden, passed away unexpectedly at his home onWednesday, May 18, 2022. Son of the late Joseph and Minnie (Mincone)Denovellis, was born in Stoneham, on June 17, 1957. As a graduate of MaldenHigh Class of 1975, he spent much of his career working in construction as atalented felt at home in nature. He was the quintessential outdoorsman who spent allof his free time fishing for anything that swam, hunting the elusive whitetail,working on his home, and sharing stories about it all with his family andfriends. The contentment Joe felt while spending time with his two sons, hisadoring grandchildren, his family, closest friends, and his dog Briar was trulypalpable. He will always be remembered as the “rugged tough guy with atender heart”, to those who knew him well and he cared for was the beloved father of Jedediah “Jed” Denovellis and his wife Katelyn,and the late Jesse Denovellis. He was the brother of Jerry Denovellis and hispartner John Landry, and Lucille Cirino and her husband Dominic Cirino.Affectionately known as “Grumpy”, Joe also leaves behind his cherishedgrandchildren who brought him tremendous joy; Shayla and HunterDenovellis, Lillyana Denovellis, and her mother Brittany Benevides, as well ashis former wife Sherry Malone. Joe also leaves behind many nieces, nephews,lifelong friends and relatives whom he shared countless memories with overthe ’s presence, cigar scented bear hugs, and genuine smile will be misseddearly by all who knew and loved him in his lifetime. His family isheartbroken, but takes comfort in knowing that he is at peace with the Angelsand in heaven with his beloved son Jesse, his parents, and all those he lovedwho passed on before him.
