Joseph A. Jackson, 67, of Jacksonville, IL died Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.
He was born February 12, 1943 in Jacksonville, IL; the son of James A. and Mattie Gardner Jackson. He married Jackie Porter and she survives in Springfield. He is survived by four brothers, Van “Butch” Jackson of Kokomo, IN, James E. Jackson of Springfield, and Krist E. Jackson and Allen Jackson, both of Jacksonville; two sisters, JoAnne Jackson of Kokomo, IN and Brenda K. Jackson of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Percy Jackson, Charles Gardner, George Robert Jackson, and two in infancy.
Mr. Jackson was employed several years with Whitaker Sanitation, Brown Sanitation, and MacMurray College. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
