Joseph A. Gagliano died on April 7, 2015 in Grand Junction, CO after 94 years of journeys and adventures on this earth. He joins his wife, Rose, who preceded him in death in 2005 after standing by his side for 59 years of marriage. Anybody that knew Joe realized that their love was true and deep and never waned. Joe was born on January 4, 1921 to Italian immigrant parents, Mario and Bertha Gagliano in New York City. He was the fifth child of six, only his sister Margaret survives him. When WWII broke out, Joe was eager to serve his country. He proudly served in the 213th Army Air Force as an airplane mechanic and munitions worker on the famens “B24 Liberator” plane. He knew every detail of that machine and spent many hours reliving his Army days. He was proud to be part of history with the “B24”. Rose and Joe were married on December 24, 1946 after his honorable discharge. They raised three children, Elena, Michael, and Ronnie. Their granddaughter, Jaime, was also a big part of the family unit. They loved to travel together and share new experiences, go on long fishing trips and explore new territories, especially the desert areas. Many a memory was made. Joe is survived by his three children, eight grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
