A longtime resident of Delaware County, PA, Joseph was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps for two years during the Korean conflict and for six years in the reserves. It was during this time that he met and married his wife Mary. They were married for 51 years until her death in 2006. Joseph retired as a traffic manager for Warner Concrete Company in Philadelphia, PA and later was involved in sales of lumber, stone and fencing products.
Joseph enjoyed volunteering for various organizations over the years, many of which involved his children, including the Westbrook Park Boys Club, Cub Scouts, Holy Cross Church and School in Springfield, PA. After retirement he volunteered many hours at Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville, PA, where he was a member of the Senior Circle, greeting hospital visitors and delivering mail within the hospital. Joseph was known for his witty banter, his kind interaction with all of the people he met, and mostly for the love of his family. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Fredrick family to remember and pay tribute to Joe on Monday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 pm and on Tuesday morning between 8:30 and 9:30 am at the Page Funeral Home 302 E.
