Joseph A. Fazekas, Sr. of Burlington passed away at Capital Health in Trenton on Tuesday at the age of 81. He was born in Roebling and worked as a steelworker for Hoeganaes Corporation in Riverton. Joe was passionate about horse racing and enjoyed every minute that he spent with his sons as they owned, trained and raced horses together.
He was also a member of the U.S. Trotting Association and an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Regina (Nee: Lovenduski) Fazekas; Their children: Joseph A. Fazekas, Jr. (Rosanne), Chris Fazekas (Maryann); Grandchildren: Joseph III, Scott, Ryan, Nicholas; Great-grandson Landon; Brother Stephen and many nieces and nephews.
Joe was predeceased by his sister Margaret.
