Joseph A. Canas, 81, of Aberdeen, NJ, passed away on Thursday, January 13th at home with his family by his side.
Joseph was born in Newark, NJ on August 12, 1940, a son of the late Helen (Borkowski) and Joseph Canas. He moved to Aberdeen 42 years ago. Joseph worked at Grammar Dempsey and Hudson Inc Newark, NJ from 1967 until his retirement in 2002. In retirement, he enjoyed time with his grandchildren, woodworking, home improvement, and relaxing on his backyard deck overlooking his koi pond.
Joseph leaves behind his loving wife Anita and cherished children Joseph Jr. and his wife Colleen of Cheshire, CT and Michael and his wife Erin of Avenel. He also leaves behind his devoted siblings Dolores Curran, Elda Chris, Rosalie Stewart, Carmen Canas, Josephine Stewart and Fatima Monroig and also 6 loving grandchildren, Owen, Lilly, Anna, Riley, Emma and Claire. He was predeceased by siblings Helen Canas, Mary Canas, Gloria Canas, Manny Canas and Vicky Canas.
