Joseph A. Aparo, 85, of Forestville, beloved husband of Florence (Kopycinski) Aparo, died Wednesday (August 8, 2007) at Bristol Hospital.
He was born May 22, 1922 in New Britain, son of the late Paul and Josephine Aparo. A longtime resident of Forestville, he had previously lived in Plainville. Mr. Aparo was an electrician, having been the owner and operator of the former Exide Electric Company in Plainville. He later worked for Fenn Manufacturing in Newington for seven years until his retirement. He was a member of St.
Besides his wife, Florence, he is survived by his three children, Barbara Ruffo and her husband, Jerry of Florida, Paul J. Aparo and his wife, Linda of West Hartford, Joseph Aparo, Jr. and his fiancé, Mary McDermott of Bristol; his five grandchildren, Benjamin Aparo, Jennifer Aparo, Stephany McKinney, Michaela Egan and Karisa Egan; his two sisters, Josephine Camerata and her husband, Al of Bristol, Angie Naples and her husband, Bill of Bristol; many nephews and nieces.
