Jose Pratts-Bonilla, 76 years old, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2017 after a brief illness. Jose was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was full of joy and life. He always found a way to make you smile. He was a protective and stern father with his children. If he needed to go to your school to make sure you were well and behaving, he did! He was stern but he was a great jokester. He loved playing pranks such as spooking you when you least expected it or calling you with different funny voices. He tried his hardest to trick us on the phone, but we always knew it was our daddy. He was a faithful husband and provider to his wife Martiza Pratts, always working until his retirement and then after to help in any way possible. He always went above and beyond to help anyone in need. He was a dynamic man, always well dressed with amazing cooking skills and an amazing singing voice. As a young man he studied opera but decided to pursue the family life, always putting his children first. He was a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and of the Philadelphia Eagles. No amount of words or paragraphs can describe or pay homage to the man that was our father. We know he is with our heavenly Father having a great party up there, but it still does not take away the sting that his absence has left.
