Jose M. Martinez, 51, a Deming resident passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Mountain View Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Jose was born January 4, 1961 to Socorro Morales and Joaquin Martinez Hernandez in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was an educator and served as principal in Palomas. On October 23, 1996 he married Leticia Peschard in Deming and was a member of Holy Family Parish.
He is survived by his wife, Leticia Martinez of the home; 3 daughters, Rebecca Gaona and companion Oscar Rodriguez, Amelia Socorro and Chloe Renea Martinez of Deming; step-daughter, Julianne Pacheco and husband Rey of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Joaquin Francisco Martinez of Juarez; 5 sisters, Maria Elena and Socorro Lorena Martinez of Juarez; Rosalva Solis and Marta Antonia Ruiz of El Paso and Alma Delia Vda. de Aguirre of Deming; 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margarita Martinez.
