JD passed away unexpectedly on August 14, 2021. Born August 8, 1953 in Cayey, Puerto Rico, he served in the US Army Reserve and had careers in printing and IT networking. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, whom he married in 1986. He is also survived by siblings Mike (Annie) Ramirez, Audie (Katie) Ramirez, Lilly (Jeff) Butterfield, daughter Maribel Ramirez, and daughter- in-law Yoslavia Ruiz Lopez. He is further survived by 10 grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and many more loving relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Angel Albert Ramirez, and his son, Jose David Ramirez III. The family wishes to express their gratitude for excellent care by the Grand Rapids Police and Volunteer Fire Departments, United Emergency Medical Response, and the teams at Aspirus Wausau Hospital ER and Cardiac Care.
