He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ernesto Arroyo; brother, Chago Arroyo-Hatch; sisters, Ketty Hernandez and Maten Trinidad; grandmother, Saturnina Benitez; and grandfather, Jimmy James Hatchett.
Jose is survived by his wife, Sharon Blanks-Arroyo; children, Jose Jr., Pedro, Eyra, Mayra, Jorge, Cynthia, Jasmine, Lawrence, Gregory and Justina; grandchildren, Jasmine, Natasha, Ileana, Sade, Anissa, Juliana, Lissette, Makayla, Isabella, Leilani, Giselle, Charles, Jorge, Pedro Jr., Kyle, Xavier, Bryce, Dominic, Donavan, Estevan, and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Chanel, Ciara, Lana, Jesenia, Alana-Kyle, Selena, Evan, Charlie Jr., Julio, Antonio, Junior, and Kyle Jr.
