Joni left this earth on Thursday, October 13, 2022. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Levine and husband, Bernard; daughter, Jennifer Bold-Ellis and husband, James; son, Adam Stuart-Bold; dearest Brother-in-law, Vini D’Amico; grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her sister-by-choice, Cheryl Jones and husband, Steven; loving cousins; many close friends; and her beloved pooch, Gypsy. She was greeted by her wife, Marianne D’Amico; parents, Max and Rosalie; along with dear aunts and uncles.

Joni was born in Albany, New York. She attended the University of Michigan and her post graduate work at University of Kansas. She started her investment career in 1984 with Merrill Lynch. In 1991 she started her independent practice. She was owner of Bold Financial Group, which she retired and sold the business in December of 2007. She held positions with Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction for National Planning Corporation (OSJ), a Certified Financial Planner, Past President of New Mexico Estate Planning Counsel and the 1st New Mexican woman to receive the designation of the Top of the Round Table. After retiring she started Silver Lining Beadery, that aligns with her passion of all thing’s art related. Especially the fiber arts and a member of the Corrales Society of Artists. Many will appreciate her love of Clowning as being one of her happiest times.

Joni married her long-term fiancée of 24 years on Anini Beach on the island of Kauai, on February 20, 2014. During their time together, Marianne and Joni were world travelers going to all 7 continents and many interesting places including Tahiti and other Polynesian Islands, Antarctica and Europe. Joni loves what Mark Twain said, “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness”. Joni was a loving and caring person, living each day as close as possible to the embodiment of Aloha Spirit, something that is paramount to both she and Marianne.

Her end-of-life experience was enhanced by her wonderful caregivers Robin Feak, Verna Romero, Shellie Gonzales, Jocelyn Phillips, Jackie Anaya, and Brittany Whiting.
