Theresa A. Jones, 84, of New Baden, IL, died Monday, September 8, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, IL. She was born November 11, 1929 in Providence, RI, daughter of Emile and Marie Louise (Bouchard) Dubois. She married Leith M. “Lee” Jones on September 30, 1950 in Baltimore, MD and he preceded her in death on October 12, 1990.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Jones of Tampa, FL, Donna (Ken) Kuhl of Germantown, IL, James (Barb) Jones of San Antonio, TX, and Valerie (Larry) Holland of Grand Prairie, TX; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Jones of Cameron Park, CA; five grandchildren, Monica Humphrey, Brooke (Francis) Dinh, Jennifer (Wil) Meloni, Kelly (Shelley) Jones, and Abbie Jones; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Humphrey, Sonny Meloni, Jimmy Meloni, and Joshua Humphrey; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeannette Pearl of Homestead, FL; and a sister-in-law, Patricia Jones of Windsor Locks, CT.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Jones; two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Jones was a retired Healthcare RN. She was a member of St. George Parish in New Baden, the New Baden Lions Club, and the New Baden American Legion Post 321 Auxiliary.
