Jonathan Wayne Hubbard, Jr. 18, of 103 Woodlyn Drive, Collinsville, VA died Monday, March 1, 2010. He was born on October 24, 1991 in Rocky Mount, VA to Jonathan Wayne Hubbard, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL and Rebecca Skinner Freyre of Seagoville, TX. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Henry Skinner, Sr. and paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Towler. Jonathan was a senior at Bassett High School where he was a member of the football team and wrestling team. Also, he was the Homecoming Prince. He attended the First Baptist Church of Bassett and worked part-time at Tim’s Machine Shop. Surviving in addition to his father and mother are his step-father, Manuel Freyre of Seagoville, TX; brother, Jarrett Lynn Hubbard of the home; half-brother, Alan Manuel Freyre of Seagoville, TX; three half-sisters, D’Arlyn Kapalczynski of Roanoke, VA, Bianca Nachelly Freyre and Abigail Yelena Freyre both of Seagoville, TX; paternal grandparents, Eddie and Linda Goins of Southport, NC; maternal grandmother, Gerry Skinner of the home and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
