Jonathan Steve Ladanye, 22, of Shinnston went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 17, 2014 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born October 3, 1991 in Fairmont, son of Brian and Danita Raikes Ladanye of Shinnston. Jonathan graduated from Berean Baptist School in Gypsy and from the Harrison County United Technical Center in Gore as an Auto Body Technician. Jonathan was a member of Bible Baptist Fellowship Church in Gypsy. Jonathan loved to play basketball, video games and hang out with his friends. He had worked at Country Club Chrysler and was currently working construction at BTM Construction. In addition to his parents, Jonathan is survived by one brother, Brandon Ladanye and wife Amanda, Nashville, TN, one sister, Rachel Ladanye, Pensacola, FL, paternal grandparents, Steve and Joyce Ladanye, Saltwell Rd, maternal grandparents, Richard and Virginia Raikes, Sugar Camp Rd, aunts and uncles, Janet Raikes, Shinnston, Tammy and Ray Bagi, Chesapeake, VA, and son, Michael, Roberta and Mark Redka, Jefferson, PA, and children, Daniel (and wife Heather), Donnie, Nathaniel and Kathryn, Allen and Michele Raikes, Clarksburg, and children, Jared, Caleb, Matthew and Jeremy, Kriss and Carl Valenti, Payson, AZ, and daughter, Elissa Ladanye Boone and Richard Stanley and son, Ryan Boone II, and a lot of extended family. Jonathan is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Margaret E. Nuzum.
