Jonathan “Roy” Moore, 69, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 following an extended illness; at the residence of his niece, Diana Leary and her husband, John, with whom he made his home for the past 8 years. He was born September 4, 1943, in Clarksburg, WV; the son of the late Jonathan M. Moore and the Emmaline Wine Moore Skinner. He is survived by his niece Diana Leary and husband John of Clarksburg, WV; niece Melody Palacios and husband Oscar of Ft. Worth, TX; nephew Glenn Marsh and companion Tom Tyborowski of Tarentum, PA; nephew Jack Dunn and wife Renate of Euless, TX; great-niece Vanessa Heater and husband Robert of Fairmont, WV; great-niece Marsha Hostetter of Clarksburg, WV; great-niece Shannon Leary and fiancé Daniel Brown of Clarksburg, WV; great-nephew John Leary, Jr. and wife Jessica of Clarksburg, WV; great-nephew Justin Leary of Clarksburg, WV; several other great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces and nephews. Also survived along with a son Billy Moore of Texas. Roy was preceded in death by a sister Beatrice Lee Moore Marsh Dunn; an infant brother Charles Jacob Moore. Roy was a construction worker and a retired security officer from Ft. Worth, Texas. He played the guitar and enjoyed golden oldies music and classic older movies. He was of Pentecostal faith.
