Jonathan Edward Morse, 44, of Toms River, NJ passed away after a sudden illness on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in Lancaster, PA while on his way to a business meeting. He was born in Brattleboro, VT on February 4, 1971. On July 10, 2000, he married Lucie Fontanella, of Toms River, NJ, in Boston, MA. Jonathan had an impressive career in the financial world.

He graduated high school at Vermont Academy in Saxtons River, VT, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in business and accounting from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. He most recently worked in Investment Sales for the Dreyfus Corporation out of New York City. He was the youngest President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Boston, MA, as well as recently received the Presidents Club Award from Dreyfus. Jonathan was a proud member of Stellafane and the Springfield Telescope Makers, in Springfield, VT, the oldest telescoping-making club in the world. He was a boating, fishing, and golf enthusiast and loved to travel with his family. Most recently he went on an Astronomical Expedition to view a solar eclipse in Australia and then on to explore New Zealand with his father Bob and son Nicholas. Above all else, his greatest aspiration was to take care of his family and friends, of which he had many from all around the country.

Jonathan loved his family, friends, and colleagues (who nicknamed him JMO) more than anything. He was always there for you, whether that be an ear to listen to when you needed someone to talk to, a great big Jonathan hug and reassuring smile, or a nice glass of red wine to wind down after a rough day at work. His devotion is best expressed in this quote, “The lives of so many are changed forever, not because Jonathan left us, but because he touched us.” Jonathan thought big, lived big, talked big, and dreamed big. He lived his life with love and honesty, and, in the words of Jonathan, “Make it a Great Day!”

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife Lucie Morse; his two children Nicholas and Gianna Morse; his devoted parents Robert K. and Linda S. Morse, currently of Pocasset MA; his sister Erica Caffrey and her husband Damien of Keene, NH, his nieces and nephew Ronan, Stella and Fiona; his two mothers-in-law, Diane Alvine and Renee Fontanella; his brother-in-law Stephen Fontanella and his wife Lisa Fontanella; his three sisters-in-law, Danielle Marler, Jaclyn Fontanella, and Andrea Fontanella; and his four nieces and nephews, Jessica and Adrienne Marler and Mario and Annabelle Fontanella.
