Jona L. DeHaan, age 76, of DeMotte, Indiana passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at her home, surrounded with her family. She was born April 16, 1945 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John and Loretta (Seymour) Mucha.
On September 3, 1965, Jona married Frank Steven DeHaan. Together, they raised three children. Jona was primarily a homemaker, where she cared for her family and loved to cook and bake for them. She also previously worked for Scheeringas Egg Farm, cleaned houses and served as the local Avon beauty supply representative. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her friends and camping at the Circle “C” campground.
Jona is survived by her husband, Frank; three children; Troy DeHaan of DeMotte, Tracey (Bob) Rentschler of Wheatfield and Tricia (Tim) Nowak of DeMotte; siblings, Pat (Dave) Grevenstuk of DeMotte, Fran Goad of Roselawn, and Lorie (Larry) Coffer of Tarpen Springs, FL; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
