Jon Alan Swint was born August 20th 1952 in Greenville, Mississippi, the fourth child and youngest of three sons of L.O. “Mike” Swint and Jewell Morgan Swint. He graduated from Greenville High School and attended the University of Miss.
He worked in the oil and gas industry, and for the past ten years he was a sales representative for Placid Refining Company of Baton Rouge Louisiana. At that time he moved from Baton Rouge to Newnan Georgia.
He passed in the Piedmont Newnan Hospital around 9pm March 17th, after a severe illness.
He is survived by his sons, Jason Swint of Baton Rouge, and Jeffrey Swint now in the U.S. Navy his two older brothers Jude and Ken Swint as well. He has a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, many friends from Newnan Georgia and Greenville MS, Baton Rouge, LA, along with a number of friends and customers. He had a long time passion for hunting and fishing with longtime friend Trey Tuminello. Loyal LSU fan, he never missed a game
