Joie was born on January 22, 1939 in the Snow/Pyatt area to Herman & Ethel (Tabor) Stonecipher. She had one brother, Jerry Stonecipher and one sister, Carolyn Stonecipher Bennett. She has 3 children that were the light of her life. Sandy Wright & husband Tony of Harrison, Duane Young & fiancé Anne of Bellefonte, and Gina Blackwell & husband Joel of Harrison. Joie also has 4 grandchildren Christi Mefford & husband Jeremy, Wesley Wright & wife Lauren, Matthew Blackwell, and Cody Young & wife Tessa. Her great grandchildren Kira and Gentry Greenhaw, Rylan Wright, and Malaya & Chesa Blackwell. Joie also had a partner in crime Ms. Betty.
Joie loved to read, crochet, cook, shop at Goodwill, & watch TV. She was an avid collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia. Joie has always been a loving, caring person and those who knew her loved her.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Herman Stonecipher, her mom, Ethel Stonecipher, her brother Jerry Stonecipher, her husband, Clifford Gibbins and her daughter in law Jackie McKnight Young.
