Johnsie Peavy Couch, of Newnan, known for her spirit and her charm, passed away during the early morning hours of February 4, 2015, a few months short of her 93rd birthday. She was born in Manchester, Georgia, finished high school in Milledgeville, and attended the University of Georgia.

She was employed with the Coca Cola Company in Atlanta during the forties, Barnett Bank in Jacksonville, Florida, in the seventies, and was an avid bridge player for most of her life. As a devoted wife and mother who treasured loyalty and friendships above all else, she always made a warm and happy home for her family throughout many different career transfers and living situations.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack H. Couch, Sr. and her daughter-in-law Anne Park Couch.

She is survived by her son, Jack H. Couch, Jr., Greenville, GA; her daughter Susan Carson, Johns Creek, GA; grandchildren Joshua Couch (Kate), Costa Mesa, CA; Jason Couch (Candace), Bishop, GA; Justin Couch (Brewton), Providence, RI; Valerie Carson, Norcross, GA; and Alex Carson (Lindsay), Wolfville, Nova Scotia; great-grandchildren Karis and Emily Couch, Costa Mesa; Hudson and Campbell Anne Couch, Bishop; Cassandra Couch, Providence; and Quinn and Scarlett Carson, Wolfville, and a nephew, Tom Adams (Sue) of Luthersville, GA.
