Johnny R. Poe, 79, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Ann Poe; three daughters, Debbie Story (Greg), Denise McCarley (Aubry), Deanna Smith (Gerald); four brothers, Ben Poe, Donald Poe, Eddie Poe, & Mike Poe; six grandchildren, Tabitha Landis, Adam Poe, Bryant Story, Amber McCarley, Colin Smith & Connor Smith; three great-grandchildren, Gracie Landis, Landon Story, & Danni Kayser. Mr. Poe was preceded in death by his son, Danny Poe and a brother, Jimmy Poe.
He retired from Barber’s Dairy and was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his church family. He also had a love for nature, country music, and Alabama Football and was a member of the Plant City Baptist Church.
