Johnny O’Neal Wilkie, departed this world at 2:54 PM January 12, 2017. He was surrounded by loved ones and slipped into eternity and freedom after valiantly battling chronic illness.
He was a graduate of Russell High School in East Point, worked at his father’s freight company and later completed a career as Police Officer at Georgia State University. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing and exploring the wilderness.
He was a born-again child of God, active at South Metro Ministries in Sharps burg. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Webb, and brother Lamar Wilkie.
He is survived by his loving wife Belinda Wilkie; sister Judy Roberts and her husband Butch; son G. Lamar Wilkie and his wife Donna; daughter Donna Larhrissi and her husband Youness; daughter-in-law Ronda Webb; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a multitude of other loving family members.
