Johnny Lee Fryer was a truck driver and a lifelong resident of Alabama, who died unexpectedly on November 25, 2021, at the age of 70. Johnny Lee Fryer was born to Odell and Lucille Fryer. He was one of two children. He was preceded in death by both his parents, as well as his sister Mary.

Johnny gave his life to Christ at an early age, as his mother wouldn’t have it any other way. Johnny became a member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church and remained a faithful and active member until his death. Johnny’s truck driving career was started at the tender age of sixteen. He worked for many trucking companies over the years, but his best memories came from Boyd Bros. which allowed him to explore many places in the world. In addition, he worked for Southeast which allowed him to be close to home. In 1985 Johnny moved to Eufaula, Al. and that’s where he resided until his death. Johnny was hardworking and his passion for driving trucks gave him an immense skill which when he returned home, he would back the truck up almost 200 yards from the foot of the road to his home in a straight line. Johnny continued to drive trucks until health issues forced him to retire in 2012. Johnny was not a man of many words but a man of many actions and even in death his actions has left a mark on the spirits of everyone who loved and knew him. “If you searched the whole world over, you couldn’t find a heart as kind or gentle as his.”

In his loving memory he leaves to cherish, two daughters LaKeyshia Hubbard (Leonard), Yvette Shun Gaines (James), Bruce Fryer (Shawanda), all of Buffalo, New York. Five bonus children from his first marriage, Yatasha, Yakennya, Yaranda, Yamonda and Brandon. Two bonus children from his second marriage Kimberly and Demetruis, as well as a host of grandchildren, Nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
