Johnny Hovis Cloer, 73, of Salisbury passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Accordius Healthcare of Salisbury.
Born on October 28, 1949, he was the son of the late Mary Hovis Cloer and Walter Cloer.
Mr. Cloer graduated from South Rowan High School and retired from WSAT Radio where he worked as a DJ. He enjoyed sports and loved the snow, classic movies, and playing beach music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Edward Trexler, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Linda Eason Cloer; son, Jason Scott Cloer of Mocksville; stepson, Johnny Trexler (Dawn) of Salisbury; step-grandchildren, Cory Trexler and Cody Trexler; step-great-grandchildren, Seth Trexler, Wyatt Burke, McKenzie Trexler, and Bruce Edward Trexler; special aunt, Christine “Cricket” Cloer.
