Johnnie T. Walker Sr. passed away peacefully on November 16, 2022. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Loretta Walker of 35 years. Johnnie was born in Rochelle, Georgia and later moved to Eastman. Georgia. His parents were Fred and Willie Mae Walker who both predeceased him. He has a brother Lonnie Walker,who lives in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Johnnie also had a sister, Mary Walker who also predeceased him.   

Johnnie’s family continues and he leaves behind to mourn his passing five children: Johnnie T. Walker, Jr, Dorothy A. Smith (Kevin), Gregory T. Walker, Dallas Coleman (fiancee Dari Noel), and Jonathan Walker. He also leaves behind six beautiful grandchildren: Andre T. Walker, Tamia Coleman, Clarke Coleman, Juli Walker, Joziah Walker, and Bricen Coleman. In addition, he leaves one great grandchild: Tobias Coleman. Also special in Johnnie’s life were his sister-in -law Evelyn Williiams and her husband Roy. His friend Uncle Louis and his daughter Valerie will miss him also. Johnnie also leaves behind a host of other friends and relatives. 

Johnnie migrated to Connecticut over 60 years ago with a dream to be his own boss and he wanted to own restaurants. The first restaurant he owned was a Howard Johnson’s and he owned many more restaurants over the years, the last two being Hal’s and Silvio’s in Hartford Connecticut. The businesses flourished for many, many years.
After many, many years of being a successful restaurateur, he decided to retire and enjoy life. He moved to Maryland and then Lakeland, Florida. Johnnie enjoyed traveling and playing pool. (He was a POOL SHARK!!!). 

Johnnie’s favorite expression was DON’T TAKE NO WOODEN NICKELS!
