Johnnie Ruth Peacock, 85, a resident of Crawfordville, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015.
She was born December 29, 1929, in Dothan, Alabama to the late O.B. Steele and Lela Elmore Steele. She was a retired seamstress. She is survived by her loving companion of 38 years, Michael McGee; daughter, Myra Oliver; grandchildren, Lamar Oliver, Lynn Lewis, and Eric McCord; great-grandchildren, Whitney Lashley, Ethan Lewis, Kade Oliver; and a sister, Mae Starling Kirkland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jimmy McCord; and several siblings.
