Mrs. Johnnie Mae Moore Pointer was born in Morgan County on August 31, 1947. She departed this life January 13, 2016 at her residence. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.
She joined Westside Baptist Church under Pastor McGahee and remained a faithful member until her departure under Pastor Edwin Crump. During her time at Westside she worked with Choir No. 4 and Red Circle, and a member of the Missionary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Felenoy Moore and Emmeline Whitfield Moore; one daughter, Emmaline Allison Metcalf; three brothers and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a dear devoted son, Jimmy Allison (Charmaine) of Decatur; three grandchildren, Alex Chris Cooper and Tray Allison of Decatur and Shaneqa Allison of Athens; four brothers, Richard Moore (Glenda) of Ft. Payne, AL, Flenoy Moore (Mary) of Attalla, AL, Dallas Moore (Brendalene) of Decatur and Kenneth Moore (Martha) of Columbus, GA; three sisters, Callie Mae Scott (James) of Warner Robins, GA, Dorothy Davis of Decatur, Shirley Moore of Ashville, AL; two sisters-in-law, Willie Louise Jackson (George) of Collinsville, AL, Lauretta Grisby (Thomas) of Warner, OH; godmother, Mrs. Fannie Pointer; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
