Johnnie Horne O’Brien went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 29th, 2014 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Momma Johnnie, as called by so many, was born on October 25, 1919 to the late Walker Horne,Sr. and Allie Hyde Horne. She attended school at Raymond and graduated from Moreland High School. She married James W. (Bud) O’Brien on November 25, 1939. Into this union were born two daughters. During her working career, she was a bookkeeper for F.W.Woolworth, Davis’ 5 & 10, and Bob Perry Eggs. She and her late husband had also owned O’Brien Egg Farm. She was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church and had been very active in Sunday School and Church until health issues prevented her from attending. At the time of her death, she was the oldest member. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James (Bud) O’Brien; brothers Walker Horne,Jr. and his wife Margaret, Archie Horne and his wife Catherine; daughter and son-in-law Margaret and Tommy Tittle; son-in-law Lawson Hughie. She is survived by her daughter Mary Elizabeth (Liz) Hughie.; Grandchildren Jim (Judy) Hughie, Kim (Craig) Sinclair, Ken Tittle, Tim (Michelle) Tittle; great grandchildren Beth, Kayla, and Tyler Hughie and Jena and Dylan Tittle; nieces Donna Horne Lundy, Marcia Horne Dees,Teressa O’Brien Borger, Lynn Sales Jeffers; nephews Jimmy Horne, David Horne, Scott Horne , Danny O’Brien and a number of cousins.
