Johnnie Bernstein Jr. was born to the union of Marilyn and Johnnie Bernstein Sr. on July 12, 1991, in Evergreen Park, IL.

Johnnie was a linebacker for the Rich South Stars football team. He then graduated Rich South High School in May of 2009. Upon graduation, Johnnie attended Job Corps to obtain a trade. He then went to Swift Academy truck driving school where he gained his Commercial Drivers License.

Johnnie started his career as a school bus driver. He then continued to become an over the road truck driver. Johnnie spent many years driving as a national truck driver before deciding to become an entrepreneur. He began his own transportation company named Mad Dog Transport.  

Johnnie was a dedicated full-time father. He loved and cherished his daughter. Johnnie devoted his life to raising Maiya to the full extent of fatherhood. Some of those things included helicopter rides and enjoying filet mignon at 5-star restaurants.

Johnnie Jr. departed this life on December 18, 2022. He is proceeding in death by: His father, Johnnie Bernstein Sr; His grandparents, Mary and Johnny Crockett, and James and Georgia Bernstein; Great grandmother, Addie Mae Loving; Great uncle, Ajamu Jabari Akil; Great aunts, Betty Levy, Correntha McCottrell; And a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Johnnie leaves to cherish his memories: His mother Marilyn Toney (Fredrick); One daughter Maiya L. Bernstein (Lashayla Davis); 2 brothers, Charles Bernstein (Symphony), Anthony Bernstein; 3 sisters, Trish Coleman, Felicia Bernstein (Tyrus), jasmine Crockett (Shaun); And an abundance of nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
