John Zachary “Zach” Linzey, 27 of West Lafayette, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in Phoenix, AZ.
He was born September 28th, 1994, in Kokomo, IN., to Jerry “J.R.” and Laura “Dee” Patty Linzey.
Zach attended Purdue University and would have graduated in May with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering Technology.
Zach most enjoyed spending time with friends and family doing things he loved. These activities included attending Purdue football and basketball games, playing golf at Coyote Crossing, and fishing with everybody. Additionally, he excelled at grilling (“Abe Froman”- the Sausage King of West Lafayette), game nights with family and dominating in Jeopardy! Zach was a naturally gifted athlete who played Varsity football for the Harrison Raiders from Freshman through Senior year. Zach will truly be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, J.R. and Dee Linzey of West Lafayette; older brother, Joel Robert Linzey of Lafayette; and older sister, Cecilia Delane “Cecy” Linzey of Louisville, KY; fraternal grandparents, Robert L. “Bob” and Barbara J. (Bitner) Linzey; maternal grandparents, Allen J. “Joe” and Lois D. (Wilson) Patty, all of Lafayette; his German Shepherd, Boris “Bud” Grishenko; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
