John William “Willie” Williams, 85, died peacefully on May 27, 1018 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is survived by son John (Anna) Williams and daughter Trisha (Richard) Anderson. The light of his eye grandchildren Kyle Palmer and Kori (Anthony) Esparza who called him “Papa” and his great grand baby Liam. John was born in Virginia on December 14, 1932 where at 15 he joined the US Air Force. At 17, he was stationed at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona where he met the love of his life, his Patsy, at the Tempe roller skating rink. They married a year after meeting and had their two wonderful children. Pat and John enjoyed 63 years together before her passing in 2012. John was a proud, hardworking American, he served his country for 21 years in the US Air Force and then he went on to work for Garrett Air Research where he officially retired after 20 years. He was known for his great fix-it skills, and although he had a tough exterior and unfiltered personality he had a caring heart that was always willing to help others. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
