John William Shannon, 66, of Branford, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Quantico, Virginia on July 5, 1955 to Joyce Marie Shannon and the late Robert C. Shannon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Jolley Shannon; mother, Joyce Marie Shannon; daughter, Jamie Lynann Patrick (Roger Patrick); grandchildren, Harmony Beebe (Cody Beebe), Morgan Pfaff (Adam Pfaff) and Marybeth Patrick (John Jordan); daughter, Jessi Joyce Daman (Cory Daman); grandchildren, Korenn Gerl, Mia Gerl and Brock Daman; daughter, Jodi Rae Milburn (Greg Milburn); grandson, Christian Shannon-Balfour; sisters, Aletha Perona (Andy Perona) and Colleen Thatcher (Taylor Thatcher); nieces and nephews, Amber Perona, Angela Perona and Jaydon Perona. Nine great-grandchildren also survive.
