On July 10, 2019, John William Edelblute, Jr., passed following a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He was 78.
Born in Johnston, Pennsylvania to John W., Sr. and Clara (nee Dively), he would be moved to the Baltimore area with his family within the first year of life. In time the Edelblute family would come to Glen Burnie where John would spend the balance of his years.
Surviving him are his dear wife of 59 years, Kay (nee Luttenberger), his daughters, Kim M. Murphy and her husband Michael, Terry C. Finney and her spouse Kevin and one son, Jeffery J. and his loving friend Donna Boyd. Richard Edelblute, Johns’ loving brother, is the sole survivor of four siblings.
John will be deeply missed by his cherished grandchildren, Candice M. Bateman and her fiance’ Raymond Bostic, Christina M. Lott and her fiance’ Andrew Dosey and three loving great-grandchildren, Jordan and Alivia Bateman and Isaac Bostic.
Finally John will be missed by his best friend “Han” Scheibe, with whom he spent nearly every morning having coffee and fellowship.
