John William Chick, 63, of Taneytown, died peacefully Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at his residence. Born September 12, 1952 in Athens, GA, he was the son of the late Evelyn Collie Chick and William Chick. Survived by his wife of 7 years, Erica L. Chick.
He was employed as a senior switch tech with Ericsson. He was a veteran of the Army and member of Uniontown Bible Church. He enjoyed the outdoors.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Carrie Chick and partner Dallas Craig of Wilmington, NC, John Chick, Jr. and wife Carol of Royston, GA, Thomas Chick and Ella Chick of Hanover, PA and Jacob and Coleson Chick of Taneytown, MD, grandchildren Ashley Bardash, Haila Moss, Karlie Moss and John William Chick, III and one great-grandson Athen DeLeon.
