John William Callis of Richardson, Texas, passed away at the age of 88 on Saturday, September 22, 2012 surrounded by family and loved ones.
He was born on March 17, 1924 in Levidi, Greece to William and Eleni Kolliopoulos. He was preceded in death by his five brothers: Meni, Takis, George, Dino, and Nikos.
John was a resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma for over 40 years, operating many successful restaurants in the Oklahoma City area. He and his wife relocated to the Dallas area in 2006 to be near his children and grandson.
He is survived by his wife Ellie Callis; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Holly Callis of Dallas; daughter, Elaine Callis of Dallas; and grandson, John Callis of Dallas. Also surviving is a sister, Sia Tsafaras of Athens, Greece.
