John William Bellefountaine, 73, of Rocky Hill, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Portland, Maine, he was the son of the late Angela Gamaldi whom he adored, loved and cherished. John was a veteran serving in the United States Navy as a sonar technician during the Vietnam War.
John lived at the Rocky Hill State Veterans Home for the past twenty-nine years where he made many wonderful friends. John was impacted by the 60’s and 70’s and never changed, refusing to cut his long hair and beard. He also loved music especially rock and folk rock. He was a sports fan following the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. John will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, good heart and his love of music.
