John Wayne Shiffra, 76, of Wallace, went to be with the love of his life and Jesus on November 27, 2011. He was born in Glen Falls December 15, 1934 the son of the late John Shiffra Sr. and Lena Fincham Shiffra. He was preceded in death by his wife Felicity “Nan” Been Shiffra whom he married May 22, 1954. He is survived by three children; Connie Morgan of Bridgeport, Pamela Harris and husband Mike of Wallace and Lena Williams and husband Chad of Clarksburg; eight grandchildren; Angela Scheuvront and husband Calvin, Michael T. Harris, John W. Morgan, Amanda Turner and husband Josh, Andrew Harris, Zack Harris, Logan and Cadence Williams; four great grandchildren; Timothy Scheuvront, Madeline Morgan, Kimberly Morgan and Brenna Turner; five sisters; Flora Humphrey and husband Albert “Tiny” of Ohio, Mary Savina of Northview, Maxine Allen of Shinnston, Phyllis “Deenie” Caloccia and husband Donald of Gore and Linda Crislip of Jarvisville and one brother Everett “Mickey” Shiffra and wife Donna of Dawmont, WV; a close friend Shirley “Jean” Lantz of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one son-in-law John Morgan. He only had two jobs in his life, he began at Wilson Bakery at the age of 17 until the age of 40, he then went to work for Airgas also known as WV Welding where he retired from in 2004. After that he enjoyed helping run deliveries at Home Industry Bakery. He loved to cook and eat and was an avid bowler, his highest game bowled was 279.
