John W. McCoy III, 55, passed away Sunday Dec. 11, 2016 in Reno, Nevada. He was a resident of Reno and formerly of Indianapolis, Indiana. John was born Oct. 18, 1961 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania to John W. Jr. and Janet M. ( Kinzey ) McCoy. He married Teresa A. Craig on August 7, 1988 in Lawrence Indiana; they were married for 28 years.
John enjoyed the outdoors, camping and hiking. He was active in sports through out his life, playing football and soccer, coaching girls little league softball and soccer teams. He was a big Indianapolis Colts Football fan. John loved spending time with his children and family.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa McCoy of Reno, Nevada, his parents, John W. Jr. and Janet M. McCoy of Greenwood, four children, Crystal McCoy and Brandy Craig both of Reno, Nevada, Steven Craig of Indianapolis, and Ashley Craig of Fairmount, four brothers, Keith (Debi) McCoy of Indianapolis, Mark (Beth) McCoy of Franklin, Mike McCoy and Brian McCoy both of Columbus, and seven grandchildren.
