Obituary of John W. Hausbeck
Hausbeck, John W. of Saginaw, Michigan
Our beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather went to celebrate with our Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was 93 years old. John W. Hausbeck was born on January 7, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Charles Edison and Rose Cecilia (Altscheffel) Hausbeck. He was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, John proudly enlisted into the United States Army, serving during World War II in the European Theatre. Upon his return from war, he married the love of his life, Marilyn M. Tate on November 19, 1949 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Saginaw; she preceded him in death on January 15, 2004. John, along with his brothers, ran the Hausbeck Pickle Company, where he served as both president and chairman of the board. He was a faithful member of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and a big supporter of Catholic education. In his younger years he was an avid hunter. He enjoyed sports, especially Notre Dame football and Detroit Tigers baseball. Above all, John loved and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren. John truly enjoyed his work and always expressed how blessed he was to have a wonderful work family.
