John W. Duncan, 73
Raymertown – John W. Duncan, 73, of Route 7 Raymertown died Sunday November 2, 2008 at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.
Born in Troy, he was son of the late R. John Duncan and Ruth (Whitman) Duncan, step son of the late Ruth Keller Duncan and husband of Patricia A.(Thornton) Duncan.
He was raised in Troy and resided in Raymertown since 1967 and attended Troy High School.
John was a boiler room attendant at the Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush and an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children, Jack (Judy) Duncan of Cohoes, Richard (Nancy) Duncan of Raymertown, Terry Duncan of Raymertown, Cynthia (Homer) Bornt of Raymertown and Brian Duncan of Raymertown; his sisters and brother, Margaret Wagar, Virginia Ritrovato and Mary Stowell all of Brunswick and J. Keller Duncan of MA; his grandchildren, Candice Ferritto, Tracy Hobart, Kristen, John, Elizabeth and Jessica Duncan and Kelsey, Amber and Hannah Bornt and several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Nancy Duncan.
