John W. Davis, age 91, of Green Forest, AR passed away on November 12, 2011. He was born at Tyronza, AR on June 3, 1920. John proudly served his country in the US Army/Air Force during WWII. He was a truck driver most of his life and was retired from Willis Shaw Trucking Company. John was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed spending hours working crossword puzzles and was an avid Razorback Football fan. He is survived by his daughter, Gerri Tyler and husband Arvil of Green Forest, grandchildren; Jayson Lawson of Rogers, Candi O’dell of Eureka, CA, Brandy Sharp of Little Rock, Rhonda Smithee of Rogers, great-grandchildren; Nathan Gilliand, Destiny Compton, David Compton, Addison Sharp, Preston Smithee, Jacob Smithee, Corey Mahaffey, 3 step-great-grandchildren; Kali, Robert and Marlin as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Florence Earlene Davis Parker.
