John V. McKim, 85, Anderson, died July 18, 2008 at Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born January 5, 1923 in Greensburg, and lived most of his life in the area. John served with the United States Army during WWII He retired March 1, 1988 from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 46.6 years of service. John was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church, the Alexandria Elks Lodge #478 for 33 years, American Legion Post #127 and U.A.W. Local #662. He was an avid woodworker and card player. He loved gardening and yard work. He will always be remembered for his jokes and pranks. His favorite sayings were “Glad you got to see me” and “Loves you-me lots”, and showing his favorite picture “Pride & Joy”.
