John V. Kallner, 74, of Ft. Myers, FL, formally of LaSalle passed away at 4:18 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Gulf Coast Hospital, Ft. Myers, FL.
Mr. Kallner was born February 23, 1935 in LaSalle to John V. and Josephine (Halasiak) Kallner. He married Vivian J. Nilsson on January 29, 1955, in Davenport, IA. John was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Air Force and retired after 23 years of service as a Tech Sergeant. He was a member of San Carlos Park Catholic Church, Ft. Myers, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vivian of Ft. Myers, FL; 3 sons, Greg (Ida Roberson) Kallner of Sarasota, FL, Mark (Dawn) Kallner of Clemmons, NC, and Dave (Tammy) Kallner of Kissimmee, FL; 4 grandchildren, Justin Kallner, Shawn Kallner, Alissha Gordin, Marissa Kallner; a great-grandson, Noah Kallner; 2 sisters, Helen Wrona and Virginia Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Charmaine, 2 brothers, Eugene Kallner and William Kallner; 3 sisters, Lorreta Kleckner, Marge Kleckner and Delores Holland.
