John V. Cupo, 84, o New Haven passed away Nov. 16, 2010 in The CT. Hospice, Branford surrounded by his loving family. He was the adoring husband for 56 years of Christina (Tina) Lauria Cupo. Mr. Cupo was born in New Haven June 28, 1926, son of the late Alphonso and Aida Donadio Cupo. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an engine preparer on the New Haven and Metro North Railroad for over 30 years. He served faithfully in the US Navy and Naval Reserve for 20 years. He was a loyal New York Mets fan and a devoted fan of UConn basketball. He was generous to all who crossed his path, was a great story teller and an ardent memorabilia collector. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Aldo (Cheryl Bergman) Cupo of New Haven, John (Laurel) Cupo of Henderson, NV. And Vincent (Lori) Cupo of Victoria, TX.; six grandchildren, Ellen & Kathryn Cupo of New Haven, Jimmy & Benjamin Cupo of Victoria, TX. and Carissa and Chase Cupo of Henderson, NV. and a sister, Mary DeLucca of East Haven. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Thomas Cupo.
