John Anthony “Tony” Raper, Sr., 59, of Manchester, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Dove House. Born Dec. 8, 1955 in Montezuma, GA, he was the son of the late Evelyn Dorsey Raper and Frank Raper. Survived by his wife of 9 years, Barbara A. Raper.
He was employed as a crane operator for Cianbro and Schuster Concrete. He was a sports and NASCAR fan, enjoyed fishing, camp fires and being with family and friends.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Tom Osborne, sons Junior Miller and companion Holly Harris and Wesley Miller, all of Westminster, brothers and sisters-in-law Jerry and Sarah Jane Raper of Warner Robins, GA and Wayne and Gale Raper of Albany, GA, sister and brother-in-law Suzy and John Pasto of Cochran, GA. Also survived by 9 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son John Anthony Raper, Jr.
