John Timothy Carr, age 71, of Englewood, Colorado passed away peacefully on November 12, 2019. He was born on October 30, 1948, in Pittsburgh, PA, the fourth of six sons, to Margaret Elizabeth O’Donnell Carr and Joseph Hurson Carr.
John was a 1962 graduate of St. Cyril of Alexandria School and a 1966 graduate of Oliver High School in Pittsburgh where he played football and hockey. A proud Northsider, he loved telling stories about growing up in Brighton Heights and never missed an opportunity to root for his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After serving in the Army Reserves, John began his long career with United Airlines at age 21.
